After a year of no service, Marquette Mountain wants to know if there’s enough interest to start up the Mountain Bike Lift Service this summer.
If this is a service you use, they’re asking for paid commitments NO LATER THAN MAY 15th, or they won’t run the lift for the 2011 bike season.

First Bike Race of 2011

While race jerseys were donned at the Marquette City Fit Strip this weekend, it was bikes, not skis that zipped through the trees.
Fat tire bikes were chosen by most riders to navigate the first ever “Fit Stripper Snow Bike Adventure .” Two mountain bikes and one cyclocross bike were also used on the snowy terrain, in what might be the first bike race in the Upper Peninsula in 2011.

Striding along Blueberry Ridge Pathway, I’m wishing more snow would fall this week, so I could get a few more skis in this month. But who says you have to wait to ride until Spring?
