This week I tackled what I thought would be the toughest bike challenge for me so far: riding single track. While it was difficult to manuever the roots, rocks and shifting, single-track riding wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be.
Last summer we had a great time in Marquette.
We biked along the trail in town, stopping downtown, at parks, beaches. Wonderful, beautiful town. We’re coming back for the fireworks again this year.

Friday, June 10, 2011 is Bike to Work Day in Marquette County, so strap on a helmet and head out the door a few minutes early to enjoy a two-wheeled commute to the office.
If you have a long commute, you can park and ride at this year’s Bike to Work Day Pit Stop, at the Marquette Mall on US-41. Free route maps and free healthy snacks will be available at the mall. Commuters can use the old railroad grade overpass to get to the city bike path, and then to work.
