2011 UPCROSS Champions Crowned

Worth double points in the overall 2011 UPCROSS standings, Saturday’s UPCROSS Championships at Tourist Park in Marquette demanded mental prowess as well as physical exertion.
Several lanes with tight turns in the woods, followed by the spiral of death gave technical riders the upper hand on the Tourist Park course. It also gave competitors a chance to see how far ahead, or behind fellow riders were progressing.

Mud Flies in Chocolay Cyclocross

In a season of mostly mild cyclocross conditions, riders got down and dirty during the sixth race of the UPCROSS series, in Chocolay Township. The pre-Halloween ride drew revelers and hecklers alike as mud flew, caking riders and spectators.
Man-made barriers, downed trees, tight off-camber turns, an ankle deep mud pit and jeering from hecklers made for a challenging day in cyclocross.
