Resolved to enjoy the fresh snowfall, while spinning their legs in the new year, riders rang in 2012 with the first of four in the “Fit Strip Fat Tire Bike Series”, in Marquette on Sunday.
The series benefits grooming operations at the Fit Strip. The Marquette City Park is groomed for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Riders donated their entry fee toward the endeavour, which will help pay for the equipment used by volunteers of the Noquemanon Trail Network to groom.
